History

Nutraceutix was founded in 2018 by Mrs. Rochelle R. Wooldridge, MS, BSEd, AAS, who serves as Chief Executive Officer. She started as an educational non-profit to teach Mid-South parents about the dangers of feeding children expired food and products from dented cans and advocate against the sell of consumable products that pose a hazard to public safety. She has expanded services to include a food pantry to provide supplemental meals to low-income families and feed school-aged children meals afterschool and during the summer.

Mission

Our mission is to provide supplemental meals through our food pantry to low-income families and advocate against food deserts in densely populated communities. Our organization targets food insecurity and utilize our mobile food pantry to serve people in need of regular nutritious foods. We also serve as a food sponsor and collaborate with other organizations to provide meals to children in at-risk communities meals afterschool and during summer break. Your support to these efforts is greatly appreciated.

Vision

We serve as a nutrition advocate for families and individuals. Our organization targets food insecurity and relies on food distribution to serve people in need of regular nutritious foods. We serve as a food sponsor with an expanded distribution system with ability to collaborate with other organizations to provide help with the issue of food insecurity. We are committed to increasing awareness and understanding of the needs in the communities we serve. Civic engagement at all times is paramount to our success.

Creating a Community, by Serving People in Need

Outreach Programs

Food is a basic need of all people. Due to unforeseen circumstances, sometimes people are unable to obtain this basic need.

Mobile Food Pantry

Our Mobile Pantry provides support to Memphians living in areas that are classified as food deserts or are inaccessible or underserved by traditional food pantries. Many Memphians live in areas classified as food deserts, areas where residents don’t have healthy, affordable food stores near them and lack sufficient transportation to get to the nearest stores. Often, the few food resources available often lack nutrition (such as fast-food restaurants) or are over-priced and under-nutritious (such as convenience stores). The Mobile Pantry brings free food and groceries to communities – unlike traditional food pantries where you go to them, our Mobile Pantry goes to you.

Food Sponsorships

Families have access to nutritious meals for their kids afterschool and in the summer. Free meals and snacks are available to all kids 18 and under.

Nutraceutix depends on the goodwill of our supporters. You can make a difference when you help us serve our community. PROGRAMMING EFFORTS

ANNUAL REPORT

The Nutraceutix business plan brings together programs and services to work toward the realization of our mission. We avoid individual program costs by centralizing administrative services (development, marketing, IT, payroll and human resources). This affords Nutraceutix scale economics as well as strategic expertise. In addition, our economic engines work to generate enough revenue to cover their direct costs and the administrative costs of the social service programs. By doing so, our goal is for 100% of your donation to go toward the direct cost of serving people in need.
